It all started with a retired high school math teacher named Thomas Whitaker — a patient soul who had spent over 30 years helping students see the beauty in logic, patterns, and precision.
When Thomas retired, life slowed down — but his love for people and their stories never did. He’d often sit in his quiet home surrounded by old photographs, trying to hold onto the moments that once filled his classroom and his heart: laughter echoing down the hallways, family dinners, his children’s birthdays, and the little things that fade all too quickly.
One winter night, as he prepared his Christmas tree, Thomas found himself wishing he could see those moments again — not just remember them, but truly relive them.
He thought, “What if memories could live in light?”
That single thought became the spark for Glow Nest Memories™.
From Equations to Emotion
Thomas used the same precision he once brought to geometry proofs to design something deeply human — a way to hold onto life’s brightest moments.
He imagined a small, crystal-like orb that could play family videos and display photos in 3D clarity. Something beautiful enough to rest on a mantel or hang gently from a Christmas tree — a glowing symbol of connection, warmth, and the stories that make us who we are.
With the help of a few young engineers (some of them his former students!), he turned that dream into a reality. The first Glow Nest orb was born — imperfect, simple, but magical. When he saw his late wife’s smile playing softly inside the orb’s glass surface, he wept. And he knew: this invention could bring comfort to others too.
